A WALK THROUGH MEADOWBROOK

We had sunshine in Illinois yesterday so it was a great day, even though cold and a bit windy, to take a walk at MeadowBrook Park. It is a lovely park in Southeast Urbana. There are trails, sidewalks, sculptures, many trees, squirrels and sometimes one sees deer.

One sees both young and old.....from stroller to those with a cane....all enjoying the fresh air and scenery. In the Spring the Park Districk plants many flowers and they have some lovely color all around the old buildings. They also have an herb garden. There are picnic tables, and a covered shelter so many have picnics and that will be happening as soon as the snow has melted and weather has warmed. Also in the Spring the Park District sponsors their Strawberry Festival. They serve ice cream, covered with fresh strawberries, have different bands playing and make it a very entertaining event. We are fortunate to have many nice parks and playgrounds here in Urbana.
