THE ELLIS FAMILY 1953

Dale and I met in high school in 1939. We married in 1943 in Storrs, Connecticut. He was in service and stationed at Storrs. From there he was tranferred to Fort Bragg for a short period of time then shipped to Camp White Oregon, near Medford. January 1944, I joined him there. In April he was transferred to Camp San Luis Obispo, CA. From there he was sent to the Pacific and fought in the Phillippines and was in the Invastion of Okinawa on Easter Sunday, 1945. A few months after World War ll ended, he received his discharge and returned home in January 1946.


Our son, Steven was born in1947, Mark, 1950 and Roger 1953.
